The deadline to apply is June 8\, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. HST.\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\nThe Hawai‘i Tourism Authority (HTA) invites eligible Maui organizations to apply for its Community Stewardship (CTC‑CS) and Regenerative Experiences (CTC‑RE) cohorts. These programs strengthen how small businesses and nonprofits host visitors while protecting cultural and natural resources and supporting community well‑being.\n\n \n\nParticipation in the 2026 cohorts is limited to Maui-based applicants as part of HTA’s focused investment in the island’s ongoing recovery from the COVID‑19 pandemic\, the 2023 fires\, and recent Kona low storm impacts.  Concentrating resources on Maui enables more targeted\, place-based support while advancing a regenerative\, ʻāina-centered visitor economy as part of the island’s rebuilding process.\n\n \n\nHTA is accepting applications for the following programs:\n\n \n\nCommunity Stewardship Program (CTC‑CS): Supports Maui-based nonprofit organizations caring for ʻāina and exploring visitor engagement through voluntourism or managed access.
