What We Do

The Hawai‘i Tourism Authority is the state agency responsible for managing tourism for the benefit of the Hawaiian Islands.

Across our programs, we promote and protect Hawaiʻi’s competitive brand to attract targeted visitors, bolster the visitor industry’s economic contributions to the State of Hawaiʻi and its residents, and support initiatives that perpetuate Hawaiian culture, steward our natural and cultural resources, and celebrate local traditions to maintain our reputation as a world-class destination.

Brand Marketing

We lead our Global Marketing Team and industry stakeholders to improve and strengthen Hawaiʻi’s tourism economy.

Destination Stewardship

We are committed to strengthening unique and enriching experiences in Hawaiʻi that perpetuate our natural and cultural resources in ways that honor our communities and rich heritage.

Hawaiʻi Convention Center Upgrades, Enhancements, and Rooftop Repair

Our responsibility for the Hawai’i Convention Center has been focused on essential upgrades and enhancements, especially in the rooftop terrace deck, to position this modern, world-class venue amidst growing competition.
