U.S.
The Hawaiʻi Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB) is contracted by HTA for brand marketing management services in the United States.
Market Overview
The U.S. West and U.S. East are Hawai‘i’s two largest source markets for visitors. The U.S. West market includes visitors who travel to Hawai‘i from the 12 states west of the Rocky Mountains, and the U.S. East includes all other states. Hawai‘i Tourism USA’s plan focuses on attracting visitors who seek deeper connections with Hawai‘i’s culture and people, travel mindfully, and support local businesses.

Strategy
- Deliver targeted communications to both attract the right profile of visitors to Hawaiʻi, and subsequently manage their engagement/impact while in destination through consumer direct messaging and PR.
- Continue to support the travel trade through strategic marketing, training, and education initiatives; and align with qualified travel advisors who deliver the desired mindful Hawaiʻi Target Travelers and cultivate them as effective advocates for Hawaiʻi.
- The Hawaiʻi Stays With You marketing campaign strategically invites visitors to experience Hawaiʻi through the eyes of those that call it home – where aloha, ʻohana, and kuleana shape everyday life. Grounded in local perspectives, the campaign encourages mindful travel behavior and meaningful connection, showing how a visit to Hawaiʻi will stay with visitors long after they return home.
- Collaborate with partners to ensure seamless messaging and experiences after visitors book their trip, while they are en route, and throughout their time in Hawaiʻi.
